Previewing ProMat 2017

Getting Geared Up for the Applied Ergonomics Conference 2017

The 2017 Applied Ergo Conference is set to run March 27 - 30, 2017 at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando. Over the past decade, ergonomics has been brought to the forefront of concerns that businesses around the world face. Organizations have come to realize that there is a real need to focus on injury prevention and reducing workplace related fatigue. Darcor has been proud to help lead the charge by developing The Guide to Workplace Ergonomics, which specifically focuses on overexertion injuries that occur in the workplace. As we prepare to attend AEC 2017, check out some of the speakers and workshops we are looking forward to. Darcor will also be taking part. The 2016 National Ergonomics Conference & ErgoExpo is right around the corner. The ErgoExpo is being held at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. As much as the Darcor team is looking forward to the bright lights and excitement of Vegas, we are even more excited about the speakers and sessions scheduled at the ErgoExpo this year. The 2016 Applied Ergo show held Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando in March 2016 saw a record number of attendees. The venue provided a great atmosphere to network with some of the leading ergonomists, many of whom were looking for the latest products and services that center upon this unique field of study. The interest in ergonomics continues to grow with various studies and medical papers being written that support the need to focus on injury prevention and reducing workplace related fatigue. Discovery Science Features Darcor Casters on “How It’s Made”

Discovery Science's "How It's Made" features Darcor Casters in a recent episode.The show is a documentary TV series showing how common, everyday items are manufactured. This episode describes how the size of the object being moved determines the size of the casters required to move it. Heavier items requires casters with larger, thicker wheels and sometimes multiple wheels to better distribute the weight.
